Chemistry Consulting Group has been retained by Monk Office to search for a Director of Commercial Sales with a passion for exceptional customer service and a keen eye for opportunity and detail.


Reporting to the President and CEO, the Director of Commercial Sales will provide exceptional leadership and management to the commercial office products and furniture units, as well as, the inside Sales Teams in the provision of goods and services to existing customers and identification of new customer leads. The Director of Commercial Sales will interact with procurement, operations, finance and marketing units to ensure a cohesive commercial approach.


Key Areas of Responsibility


  • Drives sales growth through all products and services.
  • Participates in the recruitment and training of high-performance account managers, which includes; providing training opportunities, motivating employees through meetings and courses, and promoting collaboration on new and existing accounts.
  • Creates, maintains and grows customer Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) including sales/revenue, GP dollars, average order value, conversion rate, customer satisfaction, Account Manager and customer profitability.
  • Tracks, maintains awareness and implements best practices regarding sales through an account management system, analysing activity reports, sales, and performance evaluations as required.
  • Liaises with Procurement, Operations, Marketing staff regarding application of tools to achieve exceptional sales targets and liaises with Finance and Procurement staff regarding pricing strategies.
  • Ensures the Sales Teams work cohesively with Operations to ensure exceptional customer service.



To Ensure Success, You Will Bring


  • A post-secondary degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five years senior leadership experience in direct sales and customer service.
  • Experience in business development and ability to manage sales performance and create effective targets.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to inspire and lead a team.
  • Experience utilizing office technology such as CRM, e-commerce, and MS Office.
