Job Requirement:
Our client is a well-established law firm based in Langley, recognized for their comprehensive legal services. They are searching for a Senior Corporate Paralegal to join their corporate services division. This role demands a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with excellent multitasking and communication skills, with extensive experience and able to mentor and support the other junior and intermediate paralegals, and someone with experience handling complex tax reorganizations and trusts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting corporate legal documentation including incorporations, amendments, amalgamations, continuances, dissolutions, corporate and tax reorganizations, various share transactions, extra provincial registrations, various types of dividend transactions, name changes, restorations, and other documents as required
- Conducting minute book reviews and fixing deficiencies as required
- Preparing closing agendas
- Corresponding with lawyers and clients to receive and confirm instructions
- Mentoring, training, and coaching Corporate Services staff members
- Mentoring and shadowing junior and intermediate team members
- Performing other administrative duties as required
What They Are Looking For:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Paralegal in a busy corporate practice
- A Paralegal Certificate or Diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution
- Proven mentorship and leadership skills
- Understanding of BC Online, ALF, Outlook, and Word
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Interest in mentoring and shadowing junior and intermediate team members
Benefits:
