Brief Description:
IBI - A URC Company, is seeking a Chief of Party for an upcoming USAID Monitoring, Evidence, and Research for Learning Activity (MERLA) in Jordan. |
Key Responsibilities:
The COP will be responsible for providing the vision and overall leadership to the team; managing the Contractor’s technical assistance, training, and overall support; preparing and submitting reports as requested by USAID; and coordinating USAID assistance with key counterparts. This function includes, but is not limited to:
- Assuming principal responsibility for overall project management and technical
operations, ensuring tasks are completed and project objectives are successfully met.
- Providing oversight and quality assurance to all activities, including technical assistance and technical direction in evaluation design and implementation, data collection and survey design, and other areas.
- Leading the team and serving as the primary point of contact with USAID on day-to-day activity implementation and management.
- Managing the preparation and presentation of proposed work plans and all reports.
- Supporting CLA and other learning activities, including encouraging the integration of learning throughout the project’s activities.
- Other duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications:
Required:
- A Master’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in social sciences or other related discipline. A bachelor’s degree plus additional experience will also be considered
- At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience leading or managing teams on USAID- and other donor-funded projects, including as COP or equivalent
- Experience implementing and leading monitoring and evaluation initiatives, including familiarity with monitoring and evaluation design methods and management of evaluations, and CLA activities
- Experience working in Middle Eastern countries, preferably Jordan
- Strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic (Level 4/4)
- Knowledge of AIDAR 201 and USAID compliance requirements
