 SENIOR CONTROLLER – LLOYDMINSTER  


Our client is a long-standing contributor to the community of Lloydminster and is in search of a self-motivated dedicated SENIOR CONTROLLER. The successful individual will be a highly skilled numbers person that goes above and beyond providing leadership by focusing on productivity through motivation, teamwork, communication.  


COMPENSATION:  

▪ Full Time Permanent position, 8 hr./day, Monday to Friday  

▪ $70/hr. starting  

▪ Excellent benefit package, dental, glasses  

▪ 3 weeks’ vacation  


RESPONSIBILITIES / SKILLS:  

▪ Oversee the inner workings of the main office, communicate with staff, celebrate successes, mitigate matters  

▪ Responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities of the company ensuring compliance with accounting standards  

▪ Oversee and provide support to an accounting team, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, government remittances, etc.  

▪ Responsible for all accounting functions including GL maintenance, analysis, monthly accruals, P&L statements, daily cost tracking, forecasting and adjusting  

▪ Monitor the financial performance of the company and establish/monitor internal controls  

▪ Create and report monthly financial statements, complete all year-end reports, tasks, prepare year-end financials and facilitate annual audit  

▪ Prepare and review annual budgets and forecasts including cash flow positions ▪ Analyze financial data, prepare and present timely and accurate financial statements and reports to ownership  

▪ Ensure compliance with provincial and federal regulations and tax filings  

▪ Lead financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements  

▪ Attend meetings, information sessions and social events as required  

▪ Establish and maintain successful working relationships with all employees  


Experience:  

▪ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related education; CPA certification is an asset  

▪ Proven work experience as an Accountant, or similar role, in oil and gas industry  

▪ Proficiency in Excel and accounting software such as Sage, Fieldcap, Open Invoice  

▪ Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail

▪ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment  

▪ Extensive knowledge of accounting principles  

▪ Superior communication and interpersonal skills  

▪ Time management, quick learner, multi-tasker, superior organization skills, and excellent attention to detail
