Job Type: Contract (6 months +)
Primary Location: Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid-Remote – 2 days on-site per week)

They have several projects with major North American companies. Currently, they are looking to bring on a Test Automation Engineer. This person will  primarily be involved in testing under data platforms and services for various lines of businesses in the banking sector.

Responsibilities

• Work with an agile team and collaborate with analysts, developers, POs and other members of the team
• Review requirements and prepare test data and test scenarios for the data applications
• Implement automated tests using Robot Framework and Python.
• Be involved in building and managing the test process within our continuous delivery environment
• Contribute to automate test processes where possible, make it robust and easy to maintain
• Be part of a big community across the bank and contribute to various capability developments

Looking For:

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 5+ years of related experience
• Drive to explore and learn new technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experienced in Test Automation frameworks, such as Robot Framework
• Script development using scripting languages. Primarily in Linux, Python, and SQL
• Experience using SDLC, QE and DevOps tools (JIRA, GitHub, Jenkins, UurbanCodeDeploy, HP ALM etc.
• Curiosity and drive to explore and learn new technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving thought process and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Hours of Work, Work Environment and Potential Travel

• This position is hybrid-remote and requires work on-site in Toronto 2 days per week
