Brief Description:

A Jewish non-profit is looking for an individual to oversee marketing and brand strategy to support our fundraising and programing objectives, and grow brand familiarity, affinity and perception.

Job Function:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with objectives, including building a brand that appeals to prospective donors, while always enhancing the existing donor’s connection to the organization.
  • Lead the development and execution of a branding strategy and campaign to drive increased affinity and equity by ensuring a consistent brand identity and visual representation all across the organization.
  • Lead a team of senior marketing professionals.
  • Oversee Digital Marketing and Marketing Operations. Collaborate with VP Communication to ensure programs are aligned with brand strategy and programs deliver against key brand metrics.
  • Oversee the Events and Social Media Strategy and annual event planning process. Cultivate and advance strong relationships with Integrated Development Foundation, Community Capacity Building, Jewish Engagement and Israel & Overseas Senior Leadership.
  • Establish and manage a set of external agency partners to support brand team’s work.
  • Recruit, motivate, coach, develop and retain  talent to deliver impactful results; champion a flexible, agile and inclusive work environment, prioritizing health and well-being of  the Marketing Hub & Operations, Events and Design teams.
Job Requirement:

  • Post-secondary degree in marketing or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years’ relevant work experience, including 3-5 years at a senior level.
  • Previous experience managing and developing talent; passionate about helping people learn and grow.
  • Ability to work off-hours as required, including evenings or weekends.
  • Experience delivering strategic and innovative programs and campaigns with a proven track record of results.
  • Experience leveraging social media, digital and events as part of the multi-channel marketing mix.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to quickly build rapport with colleagues, stakeholders, donors, lay leadership, community, external agency partners, etc.
  • Proactive with excellent organizational, prioritizing and time-management skills.
  • A self-starter able to leverage his/her knowledge, skill and experience to manage complex change from start to finish.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and budgets, working collaboratively with staff as well as with multiple stakeholders to deliver results.
  • An ability to think strategically and critically.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making and analytical capabilities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm, creativity, innovation and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with non-profits, the Toronto Jewish community and/or experience in Jewish Communal Service considered an asset.
