Our employer is seeking a dynamic and dedicated team player to join their vibrant Conservative Egalitarian Synagogue as the Synagogue Administrative and Community Relations Manager.

Job Function:

By working closely with our dedicated volunteer management team, you will be at the heart of our synagogue, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and fostering strong community bonds.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and enhance membership database and functions using Shulcloud, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive community.
  • Cultivate and manage membership relationships, becoming a key point of contact for diverse community members.
  • Identify and pursue revenue opportunities, including grants, to support the synagogue's growth and services.
  • Lead their digital communication efforts, keeping the community informed and engaged.
  • Provide crucial administrative support to their external bookkeeper, ensuring financial health and transparency.
  • Manage and nurture rental relationships, contributing to the synagogue's vibrancy and financial sustainability.
  • Handle banking responsibilities with precision, including cheque signing and efficient reimbursement processes.
  • Maintain and update the website through Shulcloud, ensuring it reflects our community's spirit and activities.
  • Regularly collaborate with passionate Management Team, dedicated Synagogue staff, vibrant Membership, and the general public, welcoming them into their community.
Job Requirement:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency in basic bookkeeping and familiarity with Shulcloud, Microsoft Office Suite, Constant Contact, and Canva.
  • A proactive approach to technology, with a willingness to embrace and learn new platforms.
  • A flexible, adaptable mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Deep appreciation and understanding of Jewish customs and holidays, enriching our communal experience.
  • A relentlessly positive attitude, embodying the spirit of our community.

This is a Permanent, Full-Time Hybrid work model.
