Brief Description:

Our employer is a pet store looking for an individual to be responsible for manufacturing, packing and fulfillment of their products in a safe, quality-oriented, efficient, reliable, and cost-effective manner.

Job Function:

This position requires a hands-on associate with excellent problem-solving skills and a sharp focus on continuous improvement. This position will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The Fulfillment and Production Associate will also collaborate with the Customer Service and Marketing Teams to ensure that our human and canine clients are served to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage waste disposal and clean production and fulfillment area and equipment to maintain a safe and clean facility
  • Ensure smooth transfers of outgoing and incoming deliveries, including unloading pallets
    from trucks using a pallet jack/forklift and transferring them into freezers by hand
  • Support in maintaining a proper inventory management system

Manufacturing & Production

  • Prepare and package raw dog food meals per given recipes, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards are adhered to

Order Fulfillment

  • Move master cases and boxes in and out of the freezer as needed (up to 60 lbs.)
  • Pick and pack orders into boxes alongside product, marketing materials, gel packs and insulation
  • Input order and delivery information into delivery partners' online systems/platforms and fulfill orders on Shopify
  • Print and apply appropriate shipping and feeding instruction labels

Admin

  • Learn to read online orders and create customer profiles
  • Process packing slips
  • Use Asana project management software to coordinate with customer service and implement client requests
  • Produce "welcome guides'' for inclusion in new client orders
Job Requirement:

  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience with or willingness to learn Shopify, Asana, and third-party vendor portals

  • Strategic planning and critical thinking are key assets
  • Knowledge and experience in Canadian Health and Safety practices and requirements
