Brief Description:

Our employer is a caster factory looking for a meticulous and skilled Quality Engineer with a P. Eng designation or EIT. The role involves ensuring our products meet top quality standards through thorough testing, inspection, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining our high standards.

Job Function:

  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards.
  • Conduct product inspections and tests at various production stages.
  • Analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to address quality issues.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of quality control activities.
  • Train and mentor production staff on quality control processes.
  • Participate in the development and review of product specifications.
  • Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in quality control.
  • Participate and coordinate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
  • Participate and coordinate the Team Oriented Problem Solving (corrective and preventive actions)
  • Coordinate and responsible for PPAP submissions, including preparation of Process flow, Control plan and PFMEA, within specified timeframe
  • Coordinate project activities with other department's personnel to facilitate participation of appropriate staff in project completion
Job Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
  • Professional Engineer (P. Eng) designation
  • Proven experience in a quality control role in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Knowledge of quality control methodologies and standards (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma, Lean)
  • Proficiency with quality control software and tools
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
