Donor Relations Representative [Part-Time, Independent Contractor]

The role of Donor Relations Representative is to contact donors for their support during fundraising campaigns held throughout the year. This role requires you to be a front-line voice of the organization and to present yourself with knowledge, understanding, and compassion on every call.

You should be able to use your heart and mind, along with respect and authenticity, to build donor trust and to be an advocate for the Jewish community and Jewish values.

Reports to: Associate Director, Community Campaign Philanthropy

Responsibilities:

• Contact donors by phone to discuss their support and solicit donations during various fundraising campaigns throughout the year
• Engage donors in meaningful conversation about the organization and its ongoing initiatives and campaigns while ensuring a positive donor experience
• Work in collaboration with team members to ensure targets are on track and being met
• Report to Associate Director on donor gifts and contact changes
• Ensure Salesforce is maintained and kept up to date with donor information

Qualifications:

• Excellent phone manner
• Prior sales or fundraising experience
• Superior customer service attitude
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on teamwork
• Familiarity with Excel and Outlook
• Must be 18+ and have a high school diploma
• Knowledge of the Toronto Jewish community a plus but not required
