Brief Description:

Our employer is a large restaurant chain looking for 3A Refrigeration Technician (technicians with TSSA G2/G3 gas Certificate considered an asset). This individual will handle a variety of heating and cooling problems within the commercial environment. Some units are Walk-in units, and 313A technicians with gas licenses will be required to also work on ‘hot’ side equipment such a grills and fryers.

Job Function:

  • Planning, laying out, installing, start-up, maintaining, servicing, repairing, testing, verifying, commissioning and decommissioning refrigeration and AC systems
  • Performing troubleshooting using various test equipment: e.g. Multimeter, HVAC test equipment, pressure gauges, micron gauge, manometer, velometer etc.
  • Reading schematics/ladder diagrams, wiring diagrams, troubleshooting flow charts, and the ability to follow technical manuals
  • Conducting individual component tests.
  • The ideal candidate must possess a solid understanding of electrical/electronic systems as they relate to contactors, relays, motors, basic electronic components, solid state switching, and micro-voltages and low voltage series/parallel systems
  • Working with our computerized maintenance software. As an employee, you will have access to resources, replacement parts, equipment history and other types of data- that will help you succeed in your daily performance
  • Working independently as well as in teams

Job Requirement:

  • Minimum 1 - 3 years of experience working with HVAC and refrigeration systems or performing Gas Technician oriented work
  • 313A Refrigeration Skills Trade Certificate (Gas License- TSSA G2/G3 optional)
  • ODP Card
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the company
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. An electromechanical background is preferred, and a demonstrated ability to solve problems associated with electromechanical controls is required.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving history
  • Takes ownership of the assigned Work Orders
