Our employer is reputable firm with over 30 years of combined experience in personal injury, family law, and immigration law. They currently seeking a skilled Personal Injury Law Clerk with at least one year experience to join their dynamic team. |
Job Function:
- Oversee the general management of files, including proficient handling of Accident Benefits and Tort from initiation to resolution.
- Assist in drafting legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, affidavit of documents, etc.
- Manage productions and undertakings.
- Draft LAT (License Appeal Tribunal) applications and navigate LAT proceedings with confidence.
- Conduct initial consultations with potential new clients.
- Respond to routine correspondence promptly and initiate follow-up actions as necessary.
- Effectively manage due dates, limitation periods, and time-sensitive documents.
- Recognize files suitable for settlement discussions and prepare necessary documentation accordingly.
- Prepare all required closing documents for completed files.

Job Requirement:
- 1+ years of experience in personal injury law.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment running 100+ files.
- Extensive knowledge of the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS).
- Knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure.
- Proficiency in drafting various legal documents and correspondence.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
