Brief Description:

Our employer is a global leader in cybersecurity, they are looking for an individual for an SDE role in the engineering team that delivers the sensor (lightweight agent) on Windows. SDE’s in the team own the design and development of core features on the platform.

Features will cross-cut most core OS subsystems such as the file system, memory, process, and networking. Many features are also built so that they will have shared components across Linux and Mac. The team operates under the Agile development principles and ships frequently.

Job Function:

  • Provide partnership on the sensor development team involved in architecture, strategy, in building and improving next-generation Anti-Virus and Enhanced Detection and Response Security Software.
  • Develop new product concepts.
  • Support development teams in designing and building software with cross-platform deliverables (Windows, Mac, Linux).
  • Own features from design to delivery, including participation in product demo at the end of the sprint
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams in various locations

Job Requirement:

Required:

  • In-depth knowledge of C++ and Windows OS Kernel and Driver Development
  • Strong low-level OS internals in Windows
  • Experience debugging memory corruptions, process contentions and system performance
  • Experience working with teams to ship major features and releases.
  • Lead, mentor, communicate, collaborate, and work effectively in a distributed team


Assets:

  • Strong background in scalable, light-weight and highly performing systems
  • OS system expertise for core concepts and subsystems
  • Familiarity and experience with Agile process
  • Knowledge in Security
