Our employer is a non-profit multi-service agency identifying and responding to the needs and challenges of their local Jewish Community. Specifically, but not exclusively, we are committed to the delivery of social services that reflect Jewish values and traditions. They are looking for an individual to support the community. To provide accessible, affordable, high-quality mental health counselling services and programs to the community, regardless of financial status, through a sustainable, scalable, and adaptive clinical program. By integrating traditional therapeutic methods, this model will serve adults, youth, and families. With an added lens on the unique sensitivities of the Jewish community, but not exclusive to, this program will be inclusive and be available to anyone in the Hamilton region.

Job Function:
Objectives and Goals
- Build and deliver a program that generates sufficient revenue to ensure we meet set requirements (cost recovery) to continue operating year over year.
- Expand the program by leveraging BSW student interns initially and then potentially converting them in time to contractors in later phases.
- Offer evidence-based therapies focused on general mental health needs such as anxiety, depression, youth, and family/parenting challenges. In later phases, expand to other areas counselling.
- Offer themed interactive workshops, regular drop-in group programs (initial registration required), and other online programs.
- Be known for best practices, quality and caliber of clinic and programs, and professionalism.
- Create a program that caters to the needs of the community, ensuring accessibility for all income levels and backgrounds.
Specific Duties
Primary
- Mental health counselling for individuals and families ind seeking therapy for anxiety, depression, parenting issues, family counseling etc.
- Supervise the BSW student interns during their placement
- Oversee and administer the clinical practice
- Workshops including Parenting skills, Positive Living, Jewish Identity Exploration,
- Organize Drop-in ``living rooms'' with evolving/rotating themes such as, Tools for managing anxiety and stress, building healthy relationships, Parenting skills, sleep hygiene, work-life balance etc.
- Other workshops with tailored topics based on feedback and needs.
Focus Areas
- Therapeutic modalities including family systems therapy, couples counselling, individual psycho-therapy, brief or solution-focused therapy and youth counselling.
- Assistance for individuals from youth to older adults, who may be experiencing difficulties with: anxiety/ depression, change, stressors, loss or bereavement, recovery from substance misuse, relationships and/or communication issues
- Choice of modality will be based on a client-centered approach and could include cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-informed approach, motivational interviewing, family therapy, mindfulness.

Job Requirement:
- Master's degree in Social Work; a Master's degree or further training in Psychotherapy would be desirable.
- Supervisory experience.
- Clinical management experience.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with staff and other departments.
- Proficiency in healthcare management software and electronic health records systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, ideally with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to multitask and handle high-stress situations effectively.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement.
