Brief Description:
Our employer represents a foreign post-secondary institution in Canada. They are seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing and Communications Specialist to support the growth of our brand through compelling storytelling, strategic content development, and visually engaging communications. This role is responsible for curating our social media channels, designing digital and print graphics, updating and maintaining website content, video editing and supporting a range of communications projects across the organization. This is a highly collaborative role that works cross-functionally with internal teams and our web developer to ensure brand consistency and audience engagement.

Job Function:
Graphic Design
- Design high-quality graphics for digital and print use (social media, email campaigns, web pages, flyers, presentations, gala/event collateral etc.)
- Create branded templates (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express)
- Strong grasp, knowledge and experience using graphic design tools including but not limited to Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
- Design promotional materials for events, campaigns and donor outreach
- Maintain brand consistency across all visuals and materials
Social & Digital Media
- Collaborate on and execute a social media content calendar aligned with brand goals and campaigns
- Create, schedule, and post engaging content across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn)
- Monitor comments, messages, trends and performance analytics
Website Content Updates
- Update website content using CMS (WordPress), including blog posts, images, copy edits, and new pages
- Create dynamic forms for the purpose of making donations, purchasing tickets and RSVPing to events
- Coordinate with external web developer for technical maintenance and code-based updates including SEO optimization and user experience with support from marketing lead
- Lead an exciting process of website updates and changes
General Communications & Content Support
- Write and edit content for email newsletters, blog posts, press releases, videos, and campaign collateral
- Assist in planning and execution of marketing campaigns and events
- Support internal communication efforts and ensure messaging alignment across platforms

Job Requirement:
Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of experience in marketing, communications, or related field
- Proven experience managing social media platforms in a professional setting
- Strong graphic design skills with proficiency in tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), or similar
- Experience with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress; other platforms an asset)
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
- Basic understanding of SEO and email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant
- Contact, Campaign Monitor), and analytics tools
- Video editing and motion graphics experience
- Familiarity with best practices for digital communications
- Proficiency in French and Hebrew an asset
