Our employer is a CNC Machine Tools Services. They are looking for an experienced Electronic CNC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial CNC controls and drives for machine tools.

Job Function:

  • Diagnose, repair, and test industrial electronics and CNC control systems (Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Heidenhain, Mazatrol, Hitachi Seiki, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot down to component level on control boards, servo drives, and power supply units.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and failure analysis on CNC electronic systems.
  • Maintain accurate repair documentation and testing records.
  • Collaborate with a small technical team in a lab environment.

Job Requirement:

The location(s) of the available positions

  • Richmond Hill for laboratory tech where they do repairs.
  • GTA for sending employees to do on-site troubleshooting and diagnostics. Having a car for this position is required. (Labour, travel and mileage will all be compensated).

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience repairing or servicing CNC control electronics.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with Fanuc, Siemens (Sinumerik), or Mitsubishi (Mazatrol) controls (other systems are an asset).
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and use diagnostic tools.
  • Proficiency in soldering and working at the component level (boards, drives, power supplies).
  • Diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Prior work in a CNC machine tool service or repair shop.
  • Experience with Heidenhain, Hitachi Seiki, or other CNC systems.
  • Knowledge of PLCs and motion control systems.
