Our employer is a garage door company looking to hire an a dynamic, results-driven leader to drive our commercial sales business forward and lead a high-performing team to new levels of success. As Director of Commercial Sales, you’ll play a critical role in shaping strategy, optimizing performance, and delivering measurable growth in a fast-expanding market. Reporting directly to the VP of Sales and serving as a key member of the senior leadership team, you will be empowered to set the direction, motivate top talent, and implement best practices that ensure our commercial sales organization consistently exceeds expectations. Job Function:

Lead and Accelerate Commercial Growth

  • Own the strategy and execution of the commercial sales plan, targeting key sectors such as industrial maintenance, multi-residential properties, and automotive dealerships.
  • Drive expansion into new markets and verticals to strengthen position as the go-to provider for commercial garage door solutions.
  • Partner with marketing to launch campaigns that generate qualified leads and increase market visibility.

Inspire and Develop a High-Performing Team

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a motivated sales force, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Recruit and develop top talent, ensuring the team has the skills and tools to excel in a competitive environment.
  • Build a results-driven culture while maintaining a people-first approach to leadership.
  • Optimize Systems, Metrics, and Performance
  • Establish best practices within the CRM to track opportunities, pipeline activity, and customer interactions.
  • Build dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics that provide real-time visibility into sales activity and team results.
  • Deliver regular performance insights and recommendations to senior leadership to drive decision-making and maintain a competitive edge.

Strengthen Client Relationships

  • Cultivate and expand long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Grow a preventative maintenance program to enhance customer retention and recurring revenue.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring tailored solutions meet client needs and exceed expectations.

Job Requirement:

  • 5+ years of experience leading and growing sales teams, ideally in commercial, construction, or industrial services.
  • A proven track record of delivering measurable growth through strategic planning and disciplined execution.
  • Strong experience selling to property managers and property management groups.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills with a passion for team development.
  • Expertise in CRM strategies, sales analytics, and KPI-driven performance management.
  • A balance of strategic vision and hands-on leadership, with the ability to inspire, execute, and innovate.
