Brief Description:
For more than a century, our client, a vibrant Synagogue and Hebrew school, has been a cornerstone of Jewish life in Toronto's east end. Located just steps from the waterfront in the vibrant Beach community, it is known for its warm, welcoming atmosphere and commitment to creating an inclusive Jewish home for people of all ages, backgrounds, and levels of observance. As one of Toronto's oldest synagogues, the congregation blends deep-rooted tradition with a progressive, community-centred approach to Jewish life.
At the heart of this community is a growing and dynamic Hebrew School that nurtures Jewish learning, identity, and connection for local families. What began as a single classroom program has evolved into a thriving educational community serving students across multiple age groups. While closely connected to synagogue life, the Hebrew School operates with a unique entrepreneurial spirit, giving its leader the opportunity to shape programming, build relationships, and make a meaningful impact.
They are seeking an energetic, organized, and creative Hebrew School Director and Educator to lead the program on a part-time basis (Sundays). This is an exceptional opportunity for a passionate Jewish educator who enjoys both teaching and program leadership. In this dual role, you will develop engaging Hebrew and Judaic learning experiences, inspire students and their families, and help create memorable programs and events that strengthen connections throughout the congregation and the wider community.
If you are passionate about Jewish education, community building, and creating meaningful experiences for young learners, we invite you to join a synagogue that truly offers "a small-town feel" in the heart of Toronto. ____________________________________________________________
