Our employer, a Conservative Synagogue, is looking for a Youth & Teen Engagement Specialist who is accountable for executing and implementing key program components of youth (Grades 5-8) and teen (Grades 9-12) engagement and leadership to enhance the employer's mission and core values. The Youth & Teen Engagement Specialist is responsible for creating connections with/between Jewish youth and teens through new engagement initiatives with a view to universal participation and inclusion.


Please note:

This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) and may include evening and weekend responsibilities related to programs and/or meetings. While there will be some flexibility to work off-site, the role is Toronto-based and will require a regular presence in-office.

Position Summary

Working for the Congregation, this position leads the Spiritual Leadership Team (SLT) administrative pool and serves as the Executive Assistant and partner to the Senior Rabbi. The Clergy Office Manager is responsible for the overall operation, systems, and performance of the SLT Administrative Pool.

This role supervises one Executive Assistant and is accountable for ensuring that the full Spiritual Leadership Team is supported consistently, professionally, rigorously, and with care.

This is a senior executive administrative position requiring the ability to manage multiple projects and portfolios simultaneously, exercise sound independent judgment, work fluently with data and CRM systems, and appreciate the diverse roles a synagogue plays in its members' lives.

The SLT Administrative Pool supports the full eight-person Spiritual Leadership Team. The position holds primary responsibility for the Sr. Rabbi's office and for the design and management of the shared systems, workflows, and standards that govern both the clergy administrative pool and development office support functions.

The role of Family Educator is to develop, promote and lead innovative Jewish educational programming centred around the values of our family-oriented, Conservative Egalitarian synagogue through formal and informal experiential learning opportunities. The main priorities of this role will be leading a B’nai Mitzvah program twice per month; a Family Shabbat Experience once per month; and additional multigenerational programming opportunities throughout the year.


This role requires a commitment of approximately 20 hours per month including preparation and attendance. Weekends and evenings are required.
