Job Function:
The responsibilities of this position include the following:
- Gathering evidence and information for claims and lawsuits filed against the company;
- Conducting and documenting interviews of witnesses and claimants;
- Obtaining and reviewing department and police reports, accident reports, photos, filing and maintaining orderly claim files;
- Updating the claims database;
- Handling a high volume of assignments from the attorneys, adjusters and risk management staff;
- Evaluating the validity of claims to determine liability;
- Adjusting and negotiating claims;
- Conducting follow-up investigations for attorneys involved in litigated matters

Job Requirement:
Applicants must have:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Strong writing skills.
- The demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and work independently with minimum or no supervision.
- Ability to work well with other employees of this office and personnel from other agencies.
- Ability to operate personal computer equipment and programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to learn new databases.
