Sales & Use Tax Professional

NextStep Recruiting is seeking a Tax Compliance Specialist for a dynamic corporate finance team in North Irving/Las Colinas on a 9–12-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the meticulous preparation, filing, and payment of various corporate transaction taxes across multiple jurisdictions, including sales, use, and meal taxes. This role is crucial for maintaining compliance and ensuring accurate general ledger reconciliations. We value a proactive professional, a critical thinker, and adept at managing multiple deadlines.

Required:  

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.  
• 3+ years of experience in tax compliance and general ledger reconciliations.  
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; familiarity with OneSource or similar tax compliance software is highly preferred.  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to handle time-sensitive tasks.  

Preferred:  

• CPA or CPA eligible, CMI preferred.  
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting.
